Trashed Masterpieces

Project Type

Currently building this series to include up to 30 works. Working in studio with donated bags.

This series began with acrylic markers on the unprepared bag. I have moved to preparing bag with a few light coats of gesso using fine art acrylic paints with the acrylic markers.

Date of Exhibition

January 2026

Trashed Masterpieces" is an ongoing series of paintings that transforms discarded dispensary bags into canvases for reimagined masterworks. Inspired by the resourcefulness of artists throughout history, the 'Trashed Masterpieces' series explores the creative potential of everyday materials.

Beginning with a simple dispensary bag, each piece undergoes a transformation, becoming a canvas for a reimagined masterwork. This series is a journey of artistic exploration, blending classic techniques with a contemporary sensibility, and demonstrating that inspiration can be found in the most unexpected places.

This series will on exhibition in January 2026 at the Members Gallery at the Englewood Art Center, Ringling College, and the artworks will be available for purchase.
